ABOUT BARILLA

Born in bakery shop in Parma, Italy in 1877, Barilla is today amongst the leading Italian food companies. The Barilla Group today is still family owned with 30 production sites exporting to more than 100 countries.  Barilla has become a family favorite thanks to a commitment to bringing high quality, nutritious Italian foods that taste great to people all over the world. Barilla's philosophy, "good for you, good for the planet" is a business philosophy that supports the production of foods that are not only nutritious, but also that have a lower environmental impact on the earth because they use less energy, water and land resources to produce.

L’ARTE DELLA CUCINA

Barilla has long appreciated the creative spirit that drives both the chef and the artist.  Pietro Barilla’s passion as a benefactor and collector of the arts led Barilla to become an early innovator in 20th century poster design.  Over the decades, designers and artists have found inspiration in the celebration of food and cooking — influenced by the art of the times.

“Art...is my horizon, my atmosphere. It warms me and spurs me to look to the future. It shows us how we want to live; what we want to be.”                                                                            - Pietro Barilla

How will the next generation of Barilla Sauce creative be expressed by today’s artists?
