Recently, Ubuntu has released its first phones running on their open source operating system. One of the great features of the exciting new Ubuntu phones is Scopes.

Ubuntu’s Scopes are like individual home screens for different kinds of content, giving you access to everything from movies and music to local services and social media, without having to go through individual apps.

Ubuntu’s Scopes give you related content on one screen, instead of hiding it behind different apps. So everything you look for in life is now right at your fingertips.

Thanks to Scopes, you can enjoy a completely new way to “walk through” your content and be surprised to see that everything is… right there.

You can use the images we give you as a magic potion or a special guest of the story, a cameo.

Like Alice in Wonderland, you can tell a story of someone who finds themselves in a surprising world of music… or surrounded by the news they were looking for, in every possible way… or just overwhelmed by food offers from nearby restaurants, along with related recipes and your closest friends’ reviews…

e.g. If you choose Music as a subject, you could show someone typing a singer’s name into the search box and suddenly hearing their music in the street. You try to find where this music comes from and blend into a magic world with the artist, someone selling you the artist’s cd, newspapers with gossip about the artist, anything a music lover could want… It could be real or fantasy. Everything is instantaneous and together, in one single, fantastic place…  this is the revolutionary experience you get with Scopes. You don’t have to select specific apps to have specific kinds of content, it’s all right there, just round the corner!

e.g. If you choose Nearby… all at once someone rings the bell then your whole neighbourhood pours through  your door, offering you everything imaginable. Restaurants, pools, cinemas, banks, parks… all represented, for example, by people carrying in big pictures of each service/location as if they were magic physical representations of the listing you get when you look for something to do Nearby.

The video content MUST NOT show any brand or branded / easily recognizable product. If present, they must be blurred. If you are using music, you must use a track from our library or an original one, created for your video.
